2007-8 Albin Trawler, Telico Lake, Tennessee
Hello All,
We were pleasantly surprised this week when our friends, Stacy and Joan, called and advised that they were heading our way in their motorhome. They pulled into the campground Monday afternoon. We see them every winter in Florida and have met up with them at various locations during our summer travels. Once we were on the Oregon coast and met them in Bandon By The Sea; another time we met them in Durango, Colorado; and another time in Milbridge, Maine.
It was fun catching up on our adventures and theirs around the campfire in the evenings. We took them on a road trip over the Cherohala Skyway into North Carolina and then down the 318 curves of "The Dragon" on highway 129. On another day we cruised on Tellico Lake. Stacy loves good food so we had to introduce him to the catfish and ribs at Calhoun’s on Ft. Loudoun Lake. Think we made a believer out of him, as he has already been back a second time!
Tomorrow, Barb and I plan to depart on a 4-day cruise on the boat. We have been busy doing a lot of little odd jobs getting "Never Say Never" ready to cruise. We think everything is done and we are anxious to get going--hence the picture of the week. This will be the shake down trip before we start a 6-week trip on the Tennessee River--but more on that later.
